F13 Asked if we could get dakrats.net on the access list for use at work.

The short answer is No.

The long answer is: We had a long run, a few years there where we were able to access the site from work. Then all of a sudden we could not. Being a CSA and BW webhost for some time, and during that time, I inquired into getting us un-blocked.

The issue is handled at AF level and not base level. Although the DakRats LAN's are a Community Center sanctioned event, and pimped by the marketing division with our website as a point of contact - it is NOT, based on content, eligible for being removed from the block list as per AFI's.

The response to "How are people supposed to check out the site?" is to use the PC's at the Community Center, which have not been blocked as they go through QOLNET.

Now, in saying all that, I recently acquired DakRats.COM and as of now, that site is NOT blocked. SO, I could potentially work a little tom foolery and get us access from work again, but this would be a band-aid fix at best.
