E3 videogames show ended a couple of weeks ago. I want to know what everybody thinks about what is hot and is on there gotta have list. Personally on the PC side since i'm a UT fanatic UT2007 is on my must have list followed up by Crysis, new F.E.A.R Extraction Point, and last but not least Medal of Honor: Airbourne. As you can't probably tell i'm all about FPS'S :D. Surprisingly on the platform end of it from a want to own standpoint the WII followed by the PS3, and finally the XBOX 360. I came in watchin' E3 coverage thinking it would be PS3, XBOX 360, then the WII. But I have to admit after seeing some of the demo's the new WII tripped my trigger. One for an obvious reason is the new controls and the interactiveness it can give to a wide spectrum of games and secondly the price the annouced just this week it will be no more than 250. Heck, I shelled out more than that for one of my 7800GT SLI graphics cards. Don't get me wrong the PS3 and XBOX360 is easy on the eyes (the new MGS4 trailer was SWEET!!). They just didn't give me that "I really wanna play that" feeling like the WII. Granted I will eventually break down and buy a PS3 probably 6 months after when it comes out for some of the new racing games and MGS4. WII is the winner in my console eyes. That's my small take on a HUGE E3 show. TELL ME WHAT U THINK!!!

Ahhhh?
I hate to say it but I missed the whole thing. I will try to do some research and post something better then this> :( My son has the X-Box 360 but plays his older stuff just as much and as soon as they let you use a keyboard and mouse I might play some games on a console because I like FPS's and a controller is not for me. :)
My Thoughts
Well I didn't get to watch it Live, due to the move here. But from all of what I read, there wasn't a lot of "Great" news. I mean the Nintendo Wii (I prefer the Revolution still) is a pretty great system, I still don't know about that controller and playing old nintendo games with it. But then the PS3 is just crazy. I love how they changed the controller back to the dualshock...now called something else. But that Price is WAY OUT OF LINE!
Don't get me wrong 400 for the Xbox360 is one thing...hell it was worth it. But I really don't care for all this Blu-Ray HD-Dvd crap that's going on. I don't really see it taking off for gaming anytime soon anyway to blow 600 for the PS3. The big 3 that I'm looking forward to from E3 was Halo 3 (of course), Gears of War, and Splinter Cell Double Agent. I mean give the 360 a try, true the console's start wasn't all thay great, but it made up for it in the last few months. Now everywhere I go, there are quite a few consoles availiable now. We have a lot more games now..especially FPS (Ghost Recon 3 and Call of Duty 2 are amazing, if you've not seen them).
Blu-Ray HD-DVD
Mi6300m, I agree with ya on the whole new cd format going on. I wish we (the buyers) would know what is the next thing. Blu-ray in my opinion has the advangtage right now with the storage space available on a disc. Both formats promise backwards compatiablity with cd's and dvds. Its just figuring out what is going to take off. I think that Blu-ray has a chance of being the new media due to the strong following with motion picture companies and PS3 release. A person never knows, look at the past with VHS and Beta. Beta was a better format but VHS with its price and strong following out of the gate won in that format war. It will be interesting to see what comes out on top. To comment on the PS3's price I would think it would have been the same price if it wasn't for the Blu-ray player, but with that said i also think we'll be better off with blu-ray built in. Because with newer games, come more content, and more content needs more disc space. PS3 has the advantage so you won't have to upgrade to an additional external HD-DVD drive like the xbox360 proposes. EITHER WAY I STILL HAVE TO BUY ONE (BLU-RAY or HDDVD) FOR MY COMPUTER, BUT WHICH ONE!!!! lol Thanks for the responses keep um coming.
