For anyone who would like to play some BF2 or game as a group, a dedicated server is up and running for dakrats members @ 216.221.120.48 default port, I put a custom map pack in rotation I got from Mi6300m at the June 17th LAN, its available on my site www.pwnn00bs.com go to the Bf2 server link, it will be everything you need. The map pack is big but it downloads fast. Please hook me up with some feedback, ideas, maps, mods?
I am taking suggestions on games to run. If you know of an online game that cracks easy or otherwise. Let me know and I'll run that as well, I have bandwith and hardware...just need some ideas.

GREAT
Now I can get pwned at home from you guys as well. :-) Here's some links
Map Pack 1
Map Pack 2
Map Pack 3 (didn't know about this one until today...will check it out)
Also if you guys would like, check out the Nations At War Mod for BF2. This mod is about 900mb mostly because it includes the third map pack for the mod. The other two you would have to download on your own. It's no "Desert Combat but it's worth it in my book. Hopefully you all will like it enough to try it out at the next LAN party. Until have fun, time to destroy some people on COD2 on XBLive. Muahhaaaaaaa!

A Solution
Well seeing as though I don't have a server...linux wise either, I thought I would try it on my PC. What I did was rather than use the server files to set up a dedicated server, I just used the Standalone mod (the 300mb or the 700mb will be fine). I remember seeing you type in the maps you wanted to play using the maplist. I would assume that's because your in linux maybe? But I used the maplist tab in the dedicated server program and chose the maps for NAW mod. When i ran the server, i started up regular BF2 and connected to the server, it shutdown BF2 and loaded the modded version (NAW mod), and there was much rejoicing. So try that on your end and tell me what you get.
thanks
Thanks for the feedback I will try this , what you said makes sense. I am hoping I is just a matter of loading the maps.
I'll make a post if i get the server up.
